With a built-up area of around 200,000 sq ft, the station is a junction of the best transportation and entertainment under one roof. It is a landmark of innovation and technology. It now serves as the interchange station between the blue line and pink line and was opened in 2010. It is located near Karkardooma District Court. The interchange Metro station at Karkardooma, part of the Mukundpur-Shiv Vihar corridor in Phase III of Delhi Metro, is the highest station of the Delhi Metro network with a platform height of 22m from the ground level. The elevated station serves the route eastbound towards Vaishali and westbound towards Dwarka sector 21.
