Railway Station Redevelopment

First of its kind Bus shelter developed on a PPP Model with a mall, integrating a boutique hotel and an office buildings

Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) along with Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) has decided to redevelop the Dehradun railway station measuring approximately 24.5 acres of area in order to achieve its goal to become a multi-modal transit as well as a commercial hub for passengers. Dehradun has a lot of colonial structures. The design of the railway station building respects its context, and thus uses arches at the lower level to draw eyes. The combination of exposed brick and concrete is yet another feature that is derived from traditional architecture but expressed in a contemporary design form. The clock tower in the main plaza becomes an iconic landmark that adds in the nostalgia of the city’s colonial past. Upgradation of passenger amenities at station premises, parking space provisions as well as providing for proper entry/exit and interconnection with the main roads of the city at approach and vicinity of existing Dehradun railway station premises are being carried out.
